Long Hill Democratic Committee
Our Platform
Our vision for a stronger, more connected Long Hill Township.
A proven leader in the community. A volunteer with a passion for helping people. And an experienced problem solver. Together they are a team with a common purpose—to create a better future for Long Hill.
David, Mansi, and Jason love Long Hill and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. They appreciate our charming, resilient, and tight knit community. To them, it doesn’t matter what political party a resident belongs to—we are all neighbors. That’s how this team will govern—as your neighbors, who want a brighter future for you and for Long Hill.
Come meet them on the campaign trail to learn about their platform and hear their ideas for moving Long Hill forward.
Commitment to Transparent and Accountable Government
To govern with transparency and accountability, we will:
- Seek to increase civic participation by reaching residents through print and digital media engagement.
- Encourage input from the public, to inform our decisions as we work toward common goals for the betterment of the community.
- Expand opportunities for in-person, informal conversations between elected officials and constituents.
- Welcome differing viewpoints and be prompt and responsive to residents' concerns.
- Proactively provide the rationale behind our planned actions, and share all pertinent data in a timely fashion.
Data Center Ordinance
We will introduce an ordinance that bans data centers from being built in Long Hill and we will include language to close any loopholes a developer could use to build one here.
Prioritize Beautification Projects
Consistent with the public’s suggestions incorporated into the 2023 Master Plan, and with the aim of boosting community pride, we will champion beautification projects and set timetables for their completion. We will seek state and county grants to support these efforts. We will also push for the renovation or removal and replacement of unappealing properties. After any outstanding projects are finished, we will gauge residents’ interest in pursuing other beautification ideas not mentioned in the Master Plan.
